I'm leaning towards the middle, doubt I'll be in the position to get a 1016 but it's a classic design

I'm still trying to cut down though to 3

That explorer 2 would be a great one watch, what would you look at the smaller version?

Yeah, the 16570 40mm version.

What do you envisage to be your final 3?

I like that version

Not counting Casio's it would be CWC g10, archimede outdoor and a Smith's Everest. I'll probably think of something different tomorrow that would include a CWC diver

Just tried one of these on. Really nice. Should have been too big for me really but seemed to wear well and smaller than 42mm

Nice, I must say I am warming to the new wavy SMP's and they now seem to have quite a few new interesting colour variants.

I had another look at this in my local Goldsmiths the other week and it looked much better when not under their blinding window lights.

Paul, I think one of your steps towards redemption and mastery could be to stop visiting this thread. :D

The half minute which we daily devote to the winding-up of our watches is an exertion of labour almost insensible; yet, by the aid of a few wheels, its effect is spread over the whole twenty-four hours.

The white dial version wears a bit smaller than this one.

Here's mine on a bracelet. The dial has a lovely sun burst effect in natural light. The look really changes when you switch it between the blue rubber strap and the bracelet.

I’ve also noticed these new Tags in photos and thought they looked very good. I’ve looked in a couple of AD’s recently but couldn’t see any of them on display but was planning to try one on when they are in stock.

There’s some history to these watches and google will give you chapter and verse. Bottom line is that they’ve had problems with the silicon hairspring with an unacceptably high failure rate.

They were quietly withdrawn sometime last year and are now being reissued with standard Calibre 5 movements. The models are/will be available but the Isograph branding is dead.

I have my heart set on a Kermit Sub, but the lowest price i have seen for one is around £9k. It is crazy money when all is said and done, but it is a watch that i have admired for ages. I wonder if it will keep appreciating ?
