If you can get one for £9k I would say go for it. that's way lower than I have seen them for in a long while.

Damn you Paul! I can't un-see those Autavias now....stunning indeed.
My shot at a dream watch, coming from a more modest base it must be said, and it's in the crosshairs (well, it's notionally a Flieger) for their Advent sale at the end of the year:
Stowa Ikarus, TOP movement with blued hands.

I have seen the steel versions of the autavias in the flesh at the Chelmsford Tag boutique and I have to report they look even better in the metal.
sorry

You had to say that, didn't you!
I did have a peek at the Omega site and thought steel with the smoked grey dial and chocolate leather looked ever-so-nice.....too nice.....gulp!

Thanks for the info Tim, very interesting.timor54 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 8:34 pmThere’s some history to these watches and google will give you chapter and verse. Bottom line is that they’ve had problems with the silicon hairspring with an unacceptably high failure rate.Thegreyman wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 6:54 pmI’ve also noticed these new Tags in photos and thought they looked very good. I’ve looked in a couple of AD’s recently but couldn’t see any of them on display but was planning to try one on when they are in stock.stefs wrote:Oh my word....stunning

They were quietly withdrawn sometime last year and are now being reissued with standard Calibre 5 movements. The models are/will be available but the Isograph branding is dead.
All hush hush and all traces of the Isograph vanished overnight. I'll keep an eye out for the Calibre 5 replacements hitting the AD.
I see there are a few Isograph versions on Chrono 24. Probably some rarity value but high potential for the dodgy hairspring to go pop in a few years time

I nearly bought one when they were around the £2k mark. I slightly regret that I didn't.

I'm dreaming about selling my Omega and getting the Nomos.

I won't argue with your alternative choice of watch Anthony, but will add that the cost of joining the Omega club is only climbing, especially automatics.
Be sure to have a good think about it, especially if you bought it for a reasonable sum.
I regret letting my SM120 go

Yes, Jon, whoops!
It was late on this side of the planet and I'd been checking out that lovely new Speedy just prior
