2015 FLE Delayed

Post by Kip »

After a discussion today with Chris, it has been confirmed that the 2015 FLE shipments will be delayed until October. No exact date given, but they should be available then.

The reasons for delay are the, admittedly, to much time spent trying to acquire the thin hands in rose gold that would fit this watch. Apparently there were also some problems with the dial being built according to spec. I am presuming this is due to the rose gold markers.

Chris sends his deepest apologies for the delay, but states that everything possible will be done to keep the October delivery.

I too will accept some blame for this. I was pushing Chris to find a way to get the originally designed hands, So I too apologize for the delays.

Despite the fact that this is taking longer that our original projected date, I still believe that it will be worth waiting for, having now seen the prototype. Btw... the serial number series has been corrected to 75.

Chris and I both understand the disappointment and hope that you can be patient a bit longer.

No worries; at least a honest statement from Chris.

No worries. It can wait until October.

However, in the meantime, can we start the design process for next year's FLE? :)

Thanks for the update Kip; not a problem. Better late than never.

What's a further couple of months between friends?

If I was still getting one, I'd be pretty happy that CW spent the extra time trying to get the hands and dial dialed in as designed! And that you (Kip) tried to get those hands as designed as well!

Disappointing that there's a slight delay? Yes of course.

End of the world? Not at all.

Still sticking with my order? Absolutely!

Thanks to Chris, Kip & Team for keeping us updated. Means I might actually be able to afford it by the time it arrives! As I said in a previous thread, the watch needs to arrive in 2015 to make any sense in terms of the MMXV, but this minor delay is no big deal.

No problem here either, still in it to win it, but could we get a few more photos to tide us over until then? Maybe with some of the different strap combos? :D
