2015 FLE Reservation instructions

Post by Kip »

Our ducks are finally in a row. A bit later then anticipated, but lined up no less.

We are now ready to start the reservation process. See instructions below drawings.

Please follow the reservation (order) instructions below. You are only reserving now. Payment is not due until shipment.

This will be a 75 piece Limited Edition.

Estimated Shipment date August 2015 - Please bear in mind that this is our best guess as to the delivery date. We are heavily dependent on ETA delivering the movements on time.

Many Thanks to all who have participated in this process. A special than Thank You to Goose383 and welshlad for the volunteering of their time. And let us not forget Magnus who submitted the winning design.

Well done indeed. I have also ordered mine today, but now I am worried that it might be too big for me. Well, if I can wear the Nomos Ludwig38, the Slimline might fit, too. We'll see in August :D.

It has a 33mm dial, which is smaller than the dials in the 38mm Nomos cases and about the same as the dial in the 35mm Nomos cases (I guess) so you should be ok.

Looks great. Mine is reserved.

One minor question. The straps seem to be the wrong lengths for the Bader clasp, as they are 124 x 82mm, whereas I have seen other CWL straps designed for the Bader clasp at 110 x 90mm, ie more even in length as is required for the Bader to sit properly. Will there be different length straps available for the Bader upgrade?

Well done all, I am not ordering as I have a slimline and possibly wouldn't wear it all that much, but it is a beautifully designed watch and a credit to the process

Just a question: what happened to the hands? They don't look like the ones in the original Magnus design, but more like the Slimline hands in rose gold? Am I wrong?

Ordered. Went with the brown alligator w/ Bader as I thought the tan stitching would really play off the rosegold nicely. I was gonna get a blue strap but, I don't know, the seconds hand seems a brighter blue and it looked like I might get sick of it after a while. Brown is always timeless and works both dressy and casually.

True. It's like what happened with the 40mm C5 5-Day, they've been widened. I prefer the original hands but can't say it bothers me.

I presume the watch has to go with available components - so if CWL have changed the design of a component (e.g. the hands) then that has to be reflected in the watch design...
