C11 Altus

Post by Kip »

Here we are..a new look for CWL

The C11 Altus and C11 Altus chrono

42mm x 42mm

The C11 Altus is an automatic and the C11 chrono is quartz. No word on pricing but I am told we will like it.

Interesting. Not really my style, but depending on the price, I could be persuaded. I wonder if creamed colored versions of these are eventualities.

Hi Everyone, :D

It is very bold, was my first thought!!!

Interesting though!

Yes, interesting!

Something very different from the rest of the Christopher Ward range.

It is, big, bold and different, all in a very, very good way! Also, it has a sporty look.

Again, interesting. Very interesting!

I think I like it. And I'm sure that a lot of other people will. :D

Till next time...

I think it would look better if the automatic had minute markers on the main dial in the same way that the chrono does.
I like it, but then I do like bell and ross. Not sure also that the leather type used for the strap is the best choice.

+1 on that :!: I like the C11 Altus a lot, not so much the chrono. I'd like to see the auto use the ETA 2892-A2 movement.

I think I like it :? It just depends how it would look on the wrist, I'll just have to wait to see 'real life' pictures on the forum.

Definitely prefer the auto version. :)

Mixed emotions, then! :?
"Call me a bluff old traditionalist" but I prefer screws on the BACK of the case!
While the lopped-off numbers work on the dials of the GP series, because of the association with F1 cars, they just look wrong here, as if someone just slapped 3 subdials on!
I'd prefer a round case (or a rectangular), but I don't like the "tonneau" extensions with SCREWS!
Is the little red thing at 3.00 there to show me where the crown is?
Probably the CW I like least of the ones I've ever seen, but it may look very different after a little tweaking of course.
So that's a NO (for now!) :(

Or Grumpy Old Man! Coming back to the case/dial;
round dial in round case :D :D
square/rectangular dial in square/recatangular case :D :D
round dial in square-ish case...NOOOO! :(
anyone ever seen a square dial in a round case?

Love the aircraft dial style of this one. Probably due to spend its life being called a marmite watch but that's no bad thing as bold design always polarises opinions. Can't make up my mind which version I prefer but this will certainly go on my wants list.
