English watch maker Christopher Ward are asking just £350 ($572) for a Swiss-made chronograph or just £399 ($650) for an automatic with an almost identical or sometimes even higher spec to a leading brand timepiece which will happily charge you £2,200 ($3,600) or considerably more.

If the C11 is really meant to represent an altimeter it would look even better with a larger date at the 6 o'clock position where the digital read out would be. IMHO.
I just received the mailer for the C11 and came to look at the comments from the sneak peek I assumed would have been posted.
I think it's a stunning watch (well, it's two stunning watches). I'm not at all knowledgeable about watches (other than appreciating the value of CW) and I've checked out the Bell & Ross watches that others have drawn understandable comparisons with... but I really believe that this is another example of Chris and the team delivering their own take on a classic at an incredible price.
I was tempted by the C60, again a classic but with two twists (slightly different design and MUCH better value), but I couldn't justify another watch. Now I'm even more tempted (although the justification for another watch is sadly the same - I still have the same number of arms).
My only slight hesitation is the straps: I'm not convinced they're right for the watch, but I'd need to see one in the flesh to be sure. Is there any prospect of a black rubber strap?
