Stefs march 2020
Well it has been exactly a year to the day since my last SOTC. My watch collection has admittedly always been a little, ahem, shall we say fluid! This has been somewhat born out by the fact that the 4 frankly superb watches that featured a year ago have all gone
So here all together is the current crop. No idea what will be here in 12 months from now. In fact the next 12 months couldnt be any more uncertain in so many (far more important) ways.
In order of most recently received first....
I swapped my green version with Ryan for this. Great fun watch and very good value for money.
Next I appreciate I may well be still in the honeymoon period but I just love this watch. The detail and finishing is the bizzo
Next the oris big crown pointer date in bronze
Always been impressed by oris and this is no exception. You can see quite a difference in the new shot v now with patina. Still not sure which look I prefer but wont be cleaning it just yet.
Next a bit of an icon to many A great one watch collection option. I prefer the applied lumes numerals and better bracelet with quick adjustment of this current version but if it had been in the old 36mm size rather than the 39 it is quite possible that would have been the one I went for. Dont get me wrong, it isn’t an oversized watch by any means but just wonder if it would suit the design and my moderately sized wrist even better.
Nearly there if you have stuck with it so far... This put right the one thing that my old version let me down on ...the size! With the long lugs the drop from 42 to 36 works well for me
Finally another that has been made much more wearable compared with the larger version I previously owned. Brilliant watch. I would be crackers to let this ever unless I had to.
Thanks for looking.
Might be few more of these now we all have more time on our hands

Thanks for posting Stefs, fun read and I look forward to end of March 2020 to see what' still available in your fluid collection!
Small collection of timepieces that I enjoy
Re: Stefs march 2020
Paul an excellent selection.
As usual with your SOTC, I find myself saying that I would happily own and wear all of those on a regular basis.

Lance I know that Paul is a legendary flipper, but even he should be able to keep the collection unchanged between today and the end of this month!

Re: Stefs march 2020
Neil, great call out for me!
Let's see if there are any changes in the next three days as he does appear smitten with a Grand Seiko !!
Realistically it will be March 2021 for the majority of Paul's flipping!

Some smashing watches there Paul.
Out of those, a "trio" of the JLC, Longines and ExpII would be perfect.
Then you'd have 2 white dial watches and 2 black dial

A great collection Paul, containing a number of watches I have lusted after myself incl the Night & Day, Polar Exp and LLD.
You have been known to flip the odd watch, which ones in the collection are the safest?

Almost too scared to say Patrick but at this stage two standout candidates. Exp ii and the jlc.Thegreyman wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 5:42 pm A great collection Paul, containing a number of watches I have lusted after myself incl the Night & Day, Polar Exp and LLD.

Lance, while I think that the grand seiko was very tasty, I won’t be buying one! If we are all still standing at the end of this horrid period then a watch with an associated number between say 57 and 59 would be the most interesting.

Re: Stefs march 2020
A great collection, Paul. Some real crackers there.
It sounds from your comments that the 39mm Explorer may be vulnerable to a flip. I used to have one too, but eventually replaced it (via buying a drum kit in the meantime!) with the 36mm version and I have to say I am much, much happier with the smaller version which seems perfect for my 7-7.25" wrists. But I don't want to sow any unnecessary flipping seeds for you!

Re: Stefs march 2020
Nice . Core trio will then be Exp2, Reverso and BB58 I’d expect. Should feel content with that and you have one slot left for whatever tickles your fancy at any given moment.
Congrats, be grateful and stay safe!

Re: Stefs march 2020
Well, that's a really nice quiver of watches, I enjoyed looking through them. I Wouldn't want to part with any of them, the JLC Reverso is spectacular. Really like the Oris Big Crown, probably un-patinated for me. And it just has to be the Explorer I, the ultimate one watch collection. You must have a daily dilemma deciding which to wear.
