My last SOTC was in oct 2017. I ended that by saying if there were any major changes in the next two years then somebody please give me a good talking to! Well nobody has but somebody should have...
Apart from the ever present rw Parsifal I had 4 bloomin good watches. The black bay, rose gold and choc rolex YM, blue OP36 and the Bremont solo.
With the solo leaving very recently all of them have now gone. In addition to that others have come in and departed as well that were equally nice. for example, black sub c date, zenith type 20 pilot and bell and ross BRS and probably others that I have forgotten.
I am not sure what this says about me but I suspect it is not good and I feel a little embarrassed / ashamed if I am honest. It would seem no matter how good a watch is or how much I am impressed after the acquisition something else comes along and out they go. I don't even really think that I get bored with them or stop liking them. Pathetic really but I doubt I am alone in this daft behaviour. At least I do have enough discipline to keep the numbers constant and not let the collection keep growing and with it the already crazy spending levels!
Righto...Now I have told myself off here is what I am left with currently. I am really enjoying them all and hope that stays the same for as long as possible.
I wont post a picture of the Parsifal or my much worn apple watch (which I know most do not appreciate )
First my recently re bought Ranger. Brilliant watch that goes with so many straps.
next the 38mm Zenith El Primero. A genuine daytona alternative in my view. It's time is split between the bracelet and leather
Then the Hulk. Love this and the only reason I let the black one go
Last but not least my recently acquired GP Laureato. Personal preference of course but close to perfect for me. Beautifully made, slim, fairly light and a stunning face. (sounds just like me really)
Who knows what will happen next but someone please try to talk sense into me!
Thanks for looking

Superb, I think the vast majority of us would love to have any one of these fine watches.
As for being embarrassed, I wouldn't worry....we've all been there

Fine collection you had before, but these newbies trump them.

Four brands.
Four excellent watches, all models with heritage and each amongst the best of their respective styles.
Paul there are often collections shown on here where I think I like many of those watches. However very few where I could pick out four watches and know that I would end up wearing them with a similar frequency to my own favourites. Your four tick all those boxes.
Hopefully these are all keepers.

Some real beauties there Paul. You’re right about the Ranger being a strap whore too. Looks great on owt, I reckon.

Fabulous, Paul. The GP makes me wish I hadn’t vowed to stop collecting.

Re: Stefs march 2019
Thanks chaps
Ryan. I might be mad but I think I prefer the ranger to the explorer.
Neil. I reckon our tastes are so similar we could Chuck all our watches in a box and both take a lucky dip each day and both be happy with what we end up with.
Steve...go on treat yourself you know you want to! Alternatively with my track record you could bide your time then pinch it off me at a healthy discount
