EddieTheBeast - December 2017

Post by EddieTheBeast »

This is my collection after just over a year of collecting watches.

Divers:

Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 600

I bought my C60 Trident Pro December 2016 in one of the CW 50% off sales. This still remains my only none second hand purchased watch in my collection.

J Springs Diver

This quartz diver style watch was bought from a CW forum member in August 2017. Strangely I enjoy this most on a black mesh strap.

Seiko SNZH53K1 “Fifty Five Fathoms”

I bought this from a CW forum member in September 2017.

Dress:

Seiko dress watch

In December 2016 I swapped / received money for this lovely, but rather scratched, Seiko for a very large / thick quartz that I had purchased late last year – and hated! I spent time restoring this watch to it’s former glory link here

Christopher Ward C5 Slimline 2015 FLE

I bought this from a CW forum member in September 2017, as a special occasion dress watch.

Chronograph:

Bulova Moon Watch

I bought this second hand in May 2017. It took some time for me to get it on the ‘right for me’ strap link here

Forevus Impact

I bought this from a CW forum member in May 2017.

I hope you have enjoyed looking. For my first year this is a budget collection - the total cost was £1,147.

Early next year I plan to sell the Forevus Impact and buy either a Dan Henry 1970, a Seiko Mini Turtle, a Hamilton Khaki Field, too many others to list!! Or possible something next Tuesday in the CW sale!!

Happy watch hunting for next year, Dean :D

An excellent start to your journey. It will be interesting to see where you are in another year.

Good start Dean. Bit of variety, different colours and styles. Learn what you like from your collection and take it from there...

It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

Fantastic varied collection you are building there Dean. I'm amazed you've done so for the cost you've quoted, great work.

The 2015 FLE is the standout CW for me, and I also really like the Seiko you restored...that must give you some satisfaction too having brought it back to life.

Yes, I forgot to mention that the Seiko, although not your most expensive watch by any means, has to be one of your prized ones. It’s come up a treat!

I don't think you paid nearly enough for that SNZH53K1. So, if you're feeling any guilt at all... :2thumbs:

All bases cover and not a duff watch in there. I'd happily own and wear them all. I admire your reserve in not going mad.

Dan Henry are going to be busy in February.
