^^^^ Sounds good Ferg!

I had been wondering what they would do about the holes in the bezel.

Very exciting Ferg to know it is a rare vintage Rolex, look forward to hearing some more and seeing the photos once you get it back.

Well I have gotten an update.

Just over a month or so since I had given the go ahead to repair it and ORA Watchmakers have contacted me and told me that "It is now at the final stages" :D

I imagine most of us are as excited to see this as you are! If I were to own a vintage watch, I’d want one exactly like this - one that very clearly has a story to tell. What’s the point of vintage otherwise?

It's back :)

I'm very very happy with how it has turned out.
ORA Watchmakers did a brilliant job on it and kept it's patina whilst getting it all cleaned up and lightly polished.

The legendary Bernie has been very helpful throughout this I must say.

It has the better Prima 15 jewel movement also.

A strap was made for me which matched the one it came on but I don't think it's for me so I'll get Steveostraps to make one for me soon. It's an unusual size at 24mm for a vintage and of course the watch has fixed pins so needs to be a fold over strap.

Now onto the photos :)
