A Unique Vintage IWC Ingenieur 666a

Post by tempusmaximus »

With the vintage watch market and auctions in full hype-mode , these days , we often hear the words "unique" or "never-seen-before" to talk about a watch with one small detail to differentiate it from the rest of the crowd . However we're quite confident in saying that you've never seen what we are about to show you , a truly unique , truly legit and truly interesting IWC Ingenieur 666a (the first generation of the model).

Thanks for sharing. The story behind this model tells interesting facts about the watch market back then.

Wow. Good luck getting any company to do something like that today. The hands are interesting. I think the Mark XI hands are some of the best ever designed, allowing the user to quickly and easily differentiate the hour and minute hands, without the use of oversized hands so often employed on divers. However, on this watch the hour hand looks so out of place, and much too short.
