Unsure of the exact date, but comfortably within the 30+ year requirement ;)

The Leonidas did a great job today. I spent all day recording oral tests and I'm supposed to limit each topic to two minutes...useful application for a chronongraph.

This for relaxing tonight...my old favourite 1961 Omega.

This is the last one this week. Camping weekend coming up, so casual gear and a Mako will be worn at work tomorrow. Meanwhile, today's watch is a 1964 smiths Astral

That's a beautiful Smiths you have there Steve, looks like a 9ct and a good size too(must be one of the 35mm ones?), and that strap is perfect for it! Every self respecting watch collector should have at least one Smiths in their collection 8)

Speaking of which, mine is due another airing.

That is beautiful, and what a fabulous dial! Mine is indeed 9ct, 12.15 movement, and 33mm exc. crown.

Thank you  Yes it us a lovely dial indeed. I got just slightly outbid on a stunning waffle dial Smiths once, always regretted that maximum bid :-({|= Can I ask what strap it is you have fitted to your Smiths? Looks like an Alligator, I like it alot.

18mm dark chocolate crocodile. A local jeweller imports them from Italy. A bit expensive but without doubt the nicest strap on any of my watches, except possibly the Nomos shell cordovan.

Don't know what you paid, but certainly expensive, and from the looks of it on that watch, worth every penny
