To be honest I don't think it matters that much. The idea was just a bit of fun to show people who might be unsure just what is out there when it comes to older watches.
Just put it up there and let's have a look. It's not the place for "vintage snobbery"! :D

I just came across a picture of the first vintage watch I acquired. A Nidor bog-standard Swiss automatic of the 70's on a very uncomfortable expanding strap.
Image
The Nidor name came from the village they were made in; Niederdorf, by Buser Brother who , I believe, after a couple of takeovers became part of Revue Thommen.

I changed the strap - an improvement I think.

Here is my 1959 Omega bought off the "bay" for a staggering £45....someone had asked if it had "swiss made" on the face...it did not, interest fell off and I bought it......on looking inside it had Omega all over it "Monkey" saw it and verified it was genuine. I have had it serviced, and it runs very well, with a new strap really looks great. Smaller than modern watches yet looking good ! The guy who serviced it had it for a few weeks owing to getting a couple of parts for it that had worn out, but called it the "Wonky Donkey" owing to the hour markers not being at 3 and 9 o'clock but slightly off, and the donkey bit owing to the weight in it looking like a nodding donkey.....it certainly lets you know when it bounces around in there.....I use it just about every other day...... I'm very proud of it as I would not normally be able to afford an Omega....but own one :D

You got yourself a gorgeous "bumper" there.

I'll second Andy's comment...that is a lovely watch, and no worries about it being vintage! :D
Thanks for posting, and very pleasing to hear that you wear it a lot!

Some great watches being posted here.

I've never been a fan of BIG watches and this collection confirms my belief that smaller is better.

Well since getting my C60 I have found myself picking up a few cheaper older watches here we go:

first up was an Omega, from 1964 with a 601 calibre, but I really like this manual, it is the best timekeeper of all my megre collection!

Image

next a pallet movement (Ithink that is what it is called) manual Oris not really sure what year this is, but I like the look:

Ebay bargain that the Watchguy worked his wonders on, 1956ish Bulova auto:
Image

finally a £15 bargain Timex from 70's (reminded me of childhood) nice wine coloured face and good timekeeper again..

and a shot for size comparison
