Constellation megaquartz; early quartz, in its day costing 50% more than its mechanical equivalent... Unthinkable today.

That's a cool looking watch Gary, and appears to be in fabulous condition.

A recent acquisition or part of the collection for a while?

I remember when my wife bought me a Seiko SQ100 in 1990, seemed to cost a ruddy fortune.

Thanks Guy, it’s a fairly recent acquisition. It’s not in NOS condition, but is close enough to it for a used watch. That little difference meant it was well under half the asking price of a couple of NOS examples I’ve seen recently.
