So I decided as it's fairly warm now, it's essential that I put all my watches on rubber. Bought a 20mm silicone one for my Oris, and thought I would get a 20mm natural rubber one to persuade into my 19mm-lugged Rolex. The Rolex decided not to comply, so the lucky Oris gets both straps.
Silicone, black with yellow stitching:
Natural rubber, black with alligator-embossed markings:
Although it's early days, I prefer the feel and fit of the silicone one. Only cost around a fiver (Natural rubber one cost lots and lots of fivers )
Hot weather = rubber
Re: Hot weather = rubber
^^^^^^ what make is the one that cost lots of fivers?
Isoswiss?

Yes - Isoswiss. Well done!
It seems v good quality. But the Oris has gone back onto the silicone strap.
Re: Hot weather = rubber
I had an email from Watch Obsession a couple of days ago that mentioned them.
Do they look like rubber, or do they give a passable impression of a matt alligator finish?
(I don’t like so called moc croc leather straps, as I think they look nothing like alligator or crocodile).

From a distance it looks like a matt alligator leather. But close up it's pure rubber.

Re: Hot weather = rubber
Watchgecko have alligator grain rubber for £17 if you don't fancy forking out ISOSWISS prices at about £75 a pop. Like Neil, I'm not a fan of 'mock croc', but at £17 it may be worth trying one
Re: Hot weather = rubber
What's the top one with the yellow stitching?
-- gannet.

Re: Hot weather = rubber
I'd forgotten about that lovely Oris chrono that you own. It does look good on that silicon.
I will probably swap my Halios Seaforth pastel blue onto the matching Barton silicon I have for it quite soon as it is a great bright summer watch with that combo
Of course the rubber straps are great for the summer holiday, swimming in the pool etc........I'm not feeling optimistic about my holiday to Portugal in a couple of months time still being a goer
