The Best Nato Strap Money Can Buy?
Evening everybody,
I'm on a mission to find the very best quality Nato strap in the same colour as what Sean Connery used in Goldfinger to put on my C65 Automatic.
Which companies produce the very best quality straps?
Do you have any recommendations?
I would be so grateful for any help and advice.
Thank you again and I hope you are all enjoying your Friday night.
Ross

I’ve been quite satisfied with the NATOs offered by Crown & Buckle. Best you can buy? I don’t know, but very good quality. They’ve got different price points, but I’ve only ever bought their standard straps.

I hate NATO straps
However, I have this one on my Bulova Moonwatch. https://www.watchitallabout.com/product ... iece-nato/
Great quality and has QR pins. Comes in 20mm or 22mm.
Josh also has the usual one piece too.

If you base 'best' as 'most expensive' then you need to look at the offerings from the likes of Tudor, Omega etc.
I have tried a large variety of NATOs from various brands but, and this may seem strange, the best NATOs I have found for quality and price are the offerings from CW.
Just a pity they seem to be winding down their stock of NATOs.

Zuludiver NATO’s are lovely, loads of different ones available on watchgecko. I picked up a blue / grey bond iridescent herringbone strap for £18 and it’s fantastic

I have heard good things about the Tudor fabric strap. Do you know where I can purchase these? I have had a look on Google but I can only see them come up on ebay.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2019 1:40 pm If you base 'best' as 'most expensive' then you need to look at the offerings from the likes of Tudor, Omega etc.

Are the ones you have seen on eBay genuine or 'pattern' in the style of Tudor?

Try searching for genuine “Phoenix” straps on either Amazon or eBay; these guys are the original manufacturers for the British military.
I’ve got a couple of them. The webbing they use is slightly thinner, but much more tightly woven than many other offerings out there. They also heat-seal/weld the hardware in place rather than sew it which is a cool effect. They offer a more realistic range of colours - their Admiralty grey is great with a hint of blue in it rather than looking to silver as some straps can. I have this and the vintage Bond for my new Trident (pics in CW Of The Day thread) and I also have a black/grey/red on order that I am hoping will set off the red text on the dial nicely.
They are a bit more expensive than many out there (Amazon prices seem a bit lower than eBay) but if you want the “real” thing...

Re: The Best Nato Strap Money Can Buy?
For The bond Colours Watchgeko have a good selection i just find them slightly too long for my wrist.
https://www.watchgecko.com/
Haveston i think are better quality and a better size for me, the floating keeper is a nice touch that prevents the fold back which annoys me. Most of their straps are now th A2 single pass style. I don't Owen an A2 version but if its anything like the NATO you wont be disappointed
http://haveston.com/
Georges straps on ebay are a similar style and weave to the Havestons the metal ware is not as good quality as the Haveston but on par with watchgeko in my opinon and are still in the NATO style.

I know Carl @ Gasgasbones used to sell the Phoenix G10 straps on 3 for 2, I don't know whether he still does, but maybe worth a try (If you can catch him open). I highly recommend his custom straps tooJcalder68 wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2019 5:29 amrosstcorbett wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 10:09 pm Evening everybody,

Thank you so much for all of the recommendations and advice.
I have ended up going for a Tudor fabric strap, not the bond type colour as hoped, but looking forward to getting it on the watch so I can get in the water.
