^^^^ Washing machine is also useful for cleaning watches - just stick the watch, on bracelet, on a slow cycle. Just make sure the crown is screwed in..... :)

I've heard it's best to put the watch on its storage pillow before washing it in the washing machine. Helps prevent scratching the inside of the bracelet.
the "g" is for Greg...

Seriously, you can do that?!?! Wouldn’t it still get banged around in the machine, even on a slow cycle? Assuming this is done with clothes that would offer some cushioning? That just sounds crazy.

Putting my Haveston M-1944 Canvas strap through the washing machine has worked a treat.

It's lost the new starchiness it had and is now softer and more pliable; moulding to the lugs and curve of my wrist much, much better.

It's also given the strap, understandably, a lightly washed / faded look.

Big improvement and I can now thoroughly recommend it. Think I might even order a 22mm one as well.

Once again, I’ll bemoan the lack of a sarcasm emoji on the forum...

No, both Neil and Greg were just kidding.

Use a dishwasher on gentle cycle instead.... NO, just kidding again... Don’t do it.

No, not at all. There was in fact someone on here (or maybe a reference to someone on WUS) who regularly put their Omega Seamaster through a dishwasher. :| Kid you not...

Edit: I knew it was here somewhere...

I know for a fact that is just fine to wash babies (they get smelly pretty quickly  ) - never tried it in a washing machine though. Back in the dark ages when my kids were little, we were lucky to have washing machines, let alone one with a baby care cycle.

The Redstone and your Omega are a match made in heaven. I love how the red stripe picks up the red script on the dial.

They both look rather good Guy - the Redstone in Particular!

I think it’s a fact of WISdom that for a period after selling a watch you liked, it looks even more splendid, when the chap who bought it keeps putting it on new straps. :)

Bought a canvas strap from Guy (@Bahnstormer_vRS) intended for another watch, which didn't work.

However, it looks very nice on my Sinn

So overall, very pleased. I've now got a choice of two subtlety different Havestons' for this watch, both of which work really well.
