C65 Trident MkII Vintage & Classic Watch Review

Post by eggtronics »

I’m extremely pleased to be the first watch review site to receive the brand new Christopher Ward C65 Trident mkII’s – with their radical rebrand. The new logo has caused quite a stir across all the major watch forums and social networks, receiving both positive and negative reactions. So let’s take a look at the 2 new watches that are the first to house the new typographic logo.

New Senior Designer Adrian Bachmann has been able to work on the C65 mkII, especially the Vintage – so let’s take a closer look at what you can get for £499 / £560 (the Classic on leather / bracelet) or £549 / £600 (the Vintage on leather / bracelet).

Another good unbiased review - a great read, thanks. The mockups of the new logo on the crown and bracelet are great.

NB you've got a typo - warrantee rather than warranty. You know how we like to proof read here on this forum

Great review! I really want the Vintage on a metal bracelet. I may hold out until they start shipping with the signed crown, but on the flip side, the unsigned crown versions will end up being "rare"....maybe. --Mark

Read the review and I have no particular thoughts on the logo I can take it or leave it. But for me the classic is just like a lot of other watches, nothing sets it apart. The Vintage is a little better to my eyes but would I buy either of them? No chance whatsoever!

Wearing my C65 Trident Classic this morning, adding a bit more of a comparison. Excellent review and very thorough. I must say the dual flag mock-up is done very well; makes me wonder whether it will ever appear on CW dials at the 12 location.

I may be becoming jaded but in all those pictures, vintage or classic, they just look like any other watch.

Does not inspire me to put on a wish list.

Nice review, as always.

I personally prefer the Vintage, and as I don't have a problem with the new logo, I think I may very well be adding the C65 to the shopping list.

A very good review as always Josh.
Gives us a proper look at the C65 MK2 and of the logo etc etc.
The Vintage is looking appealing but would have to see it in person as, probably on my own with this but I'd prefer it in 43mm.....again just my preference.

Josh.....does the vintage seem to wear true to size?
