Well, if we are on about Scottish bands, I'm gonna throw my 2 favourite bands from there into the mix; Alestorm and The Almighty

^^ Alestorm - heavy metal pirates, brilliant

The lead singer is like a cross between Johnny Depp and Noddy Holder.

They are a great band, Tim. I was going to put Wenches and Mead up, but thought the PC brigade might start bleating if I did

Edit: Talking of the PC brigade, I'm going to relive my youth for a laugh and go and see The Macc Lads, who are touring again, later in the year - don't think I'd best put any of their songs on here though as the Mods would be messaging me!

Back to the subject of good Scottish bands

and

They’re still a token Scottish band. I saw them live in Kelvingrove Park a couple of years ago and it didn’t rain!

I wasn’t a mega fan but I did go and see the Almighty at the Barrowlands way back in the mists of time.

Seen them a number of times, Patrick. I heard ‘Blood, Fire and Love’ in a Rock Club when I was 15 and have never stopped listening to them since then. Donington in 92 was a great show by them, but the one that I’ll never forget was on the Powertrippin tour at Nottingham Rock City as I broke my nose on someone’s elbow at that gig  Great live band.
