Definitely NOT Finnish Folk Music, sorry Kari.

Young lady I somehow found on YouTube with the most amazingly clear voice singing a couple of classic Blues numbers

She also does more modern stuff

Ordered a couple of her CDs. Sweet.

Having a jolly old time watching the "Concert for George".

If you have never seen it, it is an astonishing tribute to George Harrison. Comes in three parts....

The first is an Indian music tribute based on his love of the subcontinent.

Then Monty python are on!!! (I kid you not...they do a rousing rendition of sit on my face, lumberjack etc etc)

Then the concert proper.

Where else do you get Jeff Lynn, Joe Brown, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston (plus loads more), an orchestra, three drum kits all going together and more guitars than you can poke a stick at!!!!

Pops up on sky arts now and then, and is currently on Now TV if you have it.

Well worth a watch!!

Video is a bit fuzzy on this vid, but the sound is good.

On a similar note, just watched this version of "while my guitar gently weeps" from the rock and roll hall of fame.

Lynn, Petty and Prince...

If you have never seen Prince playing guitar, watch this.... One of the great solos, and the way he ends it is simply genius.. the ultimate drop mike.

@Smegwina - thanks for those two Nick.

Always like a bit of slowhand, but Prince's guitar wasn't weeping, it dang went and disappeared.

Just watched that, fantastic.

I saw Prince in concert at the old Maine Road stadium in 1990. He must be one of the most talented artists ever - as a singer songwriter, a guitarist. He could even dance probably better than Michael Jackson (who for all his weirdness was a great mover). I was blown away by it all when I saw him. I wasn’t even a big fan and only went as my then girlfriend liked him. A sad loss when he died.

Reminds me a bit of Rainbow in the Long Live Rock & Roll, Ronnie James Dio era. That's a compliment as I liked that album a lot

I met Prince twice in the same week- he was most certainly also on the rather odd scale too...all very surreal it was!

Forgotten about this. He was a brilliant, and probably an underrated guitarist, but that’s no way to treat a telecaster

And Tom Petty is really, really missed as well.
