Pics like these are a big reason programs like Midsomer Murders, Endeavour, Grantchester & Father Brown have captured much of my weekend TV time..keep the pics & history/commentary coming!!.. 8)

PS: Walkers should watch how they go & pick up sticks again next weekend!!..

We had a frost this morning, in April!

It reminded me though of a dank, frosty morning back in January, when I took these photos whilst out walking Davie (greyhound).

^^Great pics all!!..thought I'd add pics from my daily walk in the neighborhood(near Dripping Springs, Tx.) w/ the pups..so this morning, I started at..
IMG_0435.JPG
Winston & Walter both point the way down the front yard path way..
IMG_0434.JPG
Now, we're taking a look back at the casa & then starting down the street of a cove directly across our street..
IMG_0436.JPG
IMG_0439.JPG
At the end of the cove, a trail begins that encircles our sub-division..it's sort of a poor man's Barton Springs trail..
IMG_0441.JPG
IMG_0445.JPG
We now leave the cove & begin our journey down the trail..
IMG_0447.JPG
IMG_0448.JPG
IMG_0449.JPG
After a few short minutes, we come to the proverbial 'fork in the road'..this morning, we decide to take the left fork..
IMG_0451.JPG
IMG_0452.JPG
IMG_0455.JPG
IMG_0456.JPG
After a few minutes, we come across some abandoned sheds that were used to maintain the property & cattle that once called this area home..this whole area had at one time been a thriving ranch until rising property prices, coupled w/ changes in the economy, pushed people out of Austin that were looking for more affordable housing..
IMG_0457.JPG
IMG_0458.JPG
IMG_0459.JPG
IMG_0461.JPG
IMG_0464.JPG
IMG_0472.JPG
Here's a pic a little bit later of some of our sub-division..
IMG_0468.JPG
Now we start back home..
IMG_0474.JPG
IMG_0477 (1).JPG
And finally, the pups & I cross the street & we're back home again!!..

^^^^ Great photos of where you live.

Although the photos I take seem normal to me, I’m well aware they can seem like a different planet to those who live in other parts of the world.

Your pictures taken in Texas are somewhere I’ve never been, and if I’m honest, somewhere I’m never likely to go. However they are fascinating to look at. I can almost hear the rattlesnakes and feel the sweat trickling down my neck just looking at them.

I was unable to go, but my wife and son recently went to the Lake Tahoe region about 3+ hours away (driving) from where we live. My wife took these pics on a hike:

It really is a beautiful place. We used to go once or twice a year but the pandemic shut that down. This was the first trip in a long while.

Superb photos today gents of three very different areas of countryside, each with their own attractions.

I'll openly admit, I'm more likely to visit Sowerby than Austin or Lake Tahoe, much as I would like to visit them all.

Thank you.

Those bring back memories. When I lived in the Bay Area we used to go up to Tahoe often; Homewood on the west side and down to Emerald Bay in summer and Squaw for skiing in winter.

A beautiful area.
