3 slot watch holder - ideas?

Post by missF »

I'm thinking of doing something drastic to my collection, but first I want to change things around a bit and see what works.
I'm looking to get some sort of storage for 3 watches. This could be a glass-topped case, a semi-rigid roll with internal cushions, or a more simple wrap-up canvas pouch.
Does anyone have anything like this they could recommend? The funkier the better. Grateful for any ideas.

Wolf makes a three watch roll with cushions or if you wanted something more custom, Aaron Bespoke makes them to order as well.

I owned the Wolf but ended up going to a series of individual watch pods instead. The Wolf three watch roll product was excellent.

How about something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-6-or-10-Pi ... SwmThcwY9C - 3pc crocodile black - which would match what you have already.

^^ Thanks - that was my first thought too. It doesn't necessarily have to match what I've got i.e. I'm not looking to expand, just rearrange a bit!!

Hmmmm, funky is the tough nut here I think. Most are pretty plain to be honest. As far as function goes I have this one from Mirage in Midnight Blue. It is PU leather but looks and feels very good (not cheap). The storage system is really good. The watches can't ever touch each other with the slotted cushions. You can also prop it open for display.

I've been looking at getting a box from these guys for a long time. They have a 3 slot box at the bottom of the page. Not really funky but some interesting designs.

I got a cheap watch roll for 3 watches to take on holiday, but the individual pads roll around inside, which isn't so good. I saw Jenni Elle had one where the pads locked into place somehow, with metal studs.

Her shop isn't open yet. Here's a link if it helps.

Slightly bigger, I got my son one of these 5 watch boxes, I have a couple of 5 watch boxes with wide spaces, but I think his is better as the pads are better. The spaces on his are even wider than mine, so a large 43mm watch sits in there with plenty of room, and doesn't bump into a neighbouring watch. The box is 34mm wide for 5 watches.

I'm not sure just how 'funky' they are but if you don't want to admire your collection through a glass lid, then the Peli cases with watch inserts look quite good. Gives your watches some proper protection from moisture, dust, knock etc. too.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

^^^ The Peli cases are great, and really make me smile for being so, well, beefy! Definitely on the possible list!

Thanks for all the input and ideas.
For now I've gone for the simplest - and cheapest - option - a small box with glass top from a UK eBay seller.
I may go shopping again later for some of the lovely options you've shown me.
I'm going to keep out a 4 watch collection (three in the box and one on the wrist) and put the others away in the cupboard for a while. Just a wee experiment to see how my life changes (it sounds so dramatic! ). If I like living with 4 watches I'll sell the rest. Simples! :D

This is certainly funky, but not sure, in a good way.
