Joanna Lumley did appear in Are You being Served in about 1972 but not as the nurse.Thegreyman wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 6:28 pmPretty certain that it isn't the lovely JL.Kansas City Milkman wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 6:24 pmIs that Joanna Lumly? I think it was as a wife in an episode re. a German customer.
Nurse was possibly Vivienne Johnson?

Ha! Yes, I googled it and got the same response about Ms Lumley being in Are You Being Served?

It was a long shot but I took a chance and searched on YouTube for snl timberlake sandberg gift. The clip you recalled came up, and the sequel, taking place a little while later, was also worth a watch, though ironically the reverse of what’s about to happen in the picture abovejkbarnes wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 3:50 pmOh man, this made me think of something hilarious and perfect to link to, but I’m sure it would get deleted by the moderators for violating forum community guidelines...because is would!
For the curious...SNL, Justin Timberlake & Andy Samberg, funny video about a special gift in a box. I’ll leave it at that.

My name is 0uatiOW, but before you ask, no I don’t.

I'm a bit hazy on it now, but was he actually known as "YOUNG Mr Grace" and the irony was that there was actually an "Old(er) Mr Grace" that the audience never saw?
...could be important in the context of this discussion?

Don't get me wrong KCM.
Health permitting you can indeed have a ball at a later age. I've done so myself and didn't get back to motorised two wheels before I was 54.
You also don't need to go to work.
It's just that given the choice I would rather have the decades ahead rather than behind me.

Being an American, I haven’t understood half of the comments! But I’ve enjoyed the conversation none the less.
At 50, I’m quite certain my best years are still ahead of me. I didn’t really start living until I was 40 (thanks to a divorce) and things really kicked into high gear around 47 (thanks to a 2nd marriage). Things are only getting better and better...Covid 19 not withstanding.

Andrew, it’s an old 1970s British sitcom. To be honest, not one of the best. The standard of humour (mostly innuendo) made Cheers! look positively highbrow.

Don't sit and wait, go out and look for them! As long as you have reasonable health, life really is what you make it.Here I sit at 51 waiting for all the good stuff to happen over the next 20 odd years!
