I think I’ve hit a milestone

Post by jkbarnes »

For the first time ever, I actually started the day with one watch then switched to another in the late afternoon after work - work in this case being virtual teaching from home. And this wasn’t a case of throwing on a beater for some grunt work.

Does this make me a WIS now? Do I get a badge maybe, or a certificate suitable for framing?

You get a CWF voucher for some special meds from Kip, Intervention is not required at this stage but the CW Forum is an active and enthusiastic support group (of enablers).
Oh and yes, you get big kudos points and a certificate in special recognition of your services to horology 😁

Its a slippery slope from hereon in, Andrew.

Before I retired and worked office based, I would routinely wear one watch for work and once home, having changed into casual clothes, I would change watch.

These days, with my routine being more flexible, I may wear one watch all day but alternatively may wear three or four as my mood dictates.

You’ve definitely taken it up a notch and your bank manager should be worried!

Think of it as, in horological terms, dumping the collar and tie for a T-shirt and shorts. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t.

Sometimes I wear the same watch for days on end.

You will be relieved to hear that I cannot say the same for my clothes.
