No Rolex, Lance! For the moment the MeisterSinger is what I need. I do not doubt that the others will be taking their turn again before long.

Viognier is a fine grape. We get a nice French one at our local store.

I’m a day late in raising a G&T in your honor, Steve. My wife was a bit under the weather last night, so we had to put the drinks on hold.

To your well-earned retirement & 30 years of inspiring students!

Congratulations Steve on your retirement.
Pity that you can't celebrate just now or start planning your travels properly, but I'm sure there'll be plenty of opportunity in the not-to-distant future.

A well earned congratulations Steve. However....

..I suspect, based on my own experience and that of many of my friends, after 6-12 months you will wonder how you ever found the time to work.

Enjoy!!

That’s what all my retired friends tell me, Kip! However, I need a week or two just to chill out and do a few basic things.

Just had a really cathartic morning. Been bagging up lots of work clothes for the charity shop, throwing out a few other things that I haven’t even seen for years let alone worn!

And don’t get me started on hangers – I’ve lost count of the number I am throwing out, mainly the big bulky old wooden and plastic ones you used to get from stores. My wardrobes are suddenly looking a lot slimmer...unlike me!

Belated congratulations on a long and esteemed career Steve.

In this day and age, to be in one place working for more than 10 years seems to be an achievement. 30 years is an achievement to be proud of.

Moreover, welcome to the clan of 'when did I ever find time to work'. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

My glass is raised to you. Salute.

Guy

Thanks again, folks. I am hoping to finish clearing my desk and cupboards today – quite an intimidating task but I’m nearly there.
