Sad news. Condolences to you and your family. Sadly it seems there are lots of people who don’t or won’t understand the gravity of the pandemic.

I now have a non-covid, covid problem....
I was coughing over the weekend so had a covid test on Monday, which was negative. GP says it’s viral bronchitis which can take 2-3 weeks to settle down. My problem is I’m going to be food shopping in the next few weeks with a cough, and I’m a bit worried about (a) worrying people, or (b) getting overtly negative reactions..... there doesn’t seem any way around it but to explain with patience where I need to - or maybe just tie a note round my neck!

^^Thanks! I've just got a delivery slot for some groceries, that'll mean I can avoid the shops for a wee while at least! :D

@missF

We'll watch the news though, in case you're clapped in irons. :D
Seriously, though wishing you a speedy recovery. It won't be pleasant going out in the cold with bronchitis.

As above, speedy recovery MissF and when/if you do need to go out I wouldn't bother at all about other people's reactions.

A Barry Cryer joke: Back in the day, you would cough to cover up a fart. Now you fart to cover up a cough.

Not sure if this is helpful to you.

Apparently John Travolta has been hospitalised with suspected covid.
Doctors later said he is OK, it was Saturday Night Fever. They assure everyone that he is Staying Alive.
Apparently, he had chills that were Multiplying.
