Screw back watch case opener.

Post by Ian Mc »

I have a screw back watch needing a new battery.
Can anyone recommend a screw back opening tool?
Thanks in advance.

I use one of these, have had no problem with any cases including Omega.

Make sure to use in conjunction with a good movement/case holding tool.

If the caseback isn’t too tight you may be able to open it with a squishy rubber ball or foam ball (like a stress ball). I’ve done it and it’s worth a try.

Good idea, I obtained a Bergeon ball for screw back removal. Arrived today, job done in 5 mins.
Thanks

Glad to help. Doesn’t always work, but always worth a try - and no scratch risk either!
