Fantasy Football 2019/20
For all those who want to participate in Fantasy Premier League Football again this coming season, I have just renewed the CWF Fantasy Football League we have had for several seasons. Anyone who was in it last year should be automatically entered into it again this year - once you register your new team.
If anyone new wants to join then the Fantasy Premier League website is here.
The code for our league this year is pxn7rv
The season starts on Friday 9th August so start thinking about registering your teams pretty soon. The deadline for submitting your team is 19.00 BST on Fri 9th August.
Good luck!

Just a quick reminder that the new Premier League football season starts on Friday evening, so if you want to participate in our fantasy football league get your entries in by then. All new entrants to our league are very welcome.

Re: Fantasy Football 2019/20
Having had a good first half of the season, sitting 2nd in our league until a few weeks ago (which frankly, as a total newbie, I had not expected), I have slipped back in recent weeks. Oh well.
I had hoped to redress the balance a bit this week as, due to losing five players to League Cup matches, I went and played my Wild Card selecting several players from both Leicester and Liverpool; both of whom I felt would be good for a solid win against Norwich and Watford.
How wrong have I been!
Guy
PS>. Plus, just seen, Southampton lost to West Ham and Burnley had a goalless draw against Newcastle. Its got worse.

Re: Fantasy Football 2019/20
^^^nearly exactly the same for me!
With Man City and Arsenal players out I decided to use the free hit going with 3 Liverpool players, 3 Leicester players (including Vardy who didn’t play) and Ings. My fate this week rests with Bruno Fernandes and Richarlison...
Would definitely join a CW league if there’s one up and running!

Re: Fantasy Football 2019/20
Well, the Premier League football season is finally over - rather later than planned - and, hence, so is the Christopher Ward Fantasy Football League.
It was a very close competition in the end, with only 11 points covering the top 3 places. So, without further ado, the top 3 were <<<drumroll>>>...
1) Occam's Fraser 2234 points
2) Deja Vu Allover Again (welshlad) 2228 points
3) Gylfi Knowledge 2223 points
I shall let the managers of teams 1) and 3) reveal themselves as although I know their real names, I don't know their forum usernames!
Well done to team Occam's Fraser. A well-deserved winner. You win oodles of kudos from the rest of us.
I shall kick off a new league for next season when the information is available, probably in a few weeks time.

Re: Fantasy Football 2019/20
Cheers and thanks Steve for organising this.
Congratulations to the top three.
It was the first time I had taken part in anything like this, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a bit of coaching / tuition in the early weeks from my son, who does quite well in a league at his work, but mostly it was all my own work.
Chuffed to finish where I did.
Looking forward to next season.

Well done chaps.
Cheers for organising, Steve.
And Guy, a well done to you too. A very respectable score on what was your first attempt. I've been doing it for more years than I can remember, but I think it was pretty much from when it started - and ya still beat me!

Didn't realise I'd actually won it in the end, thought I'd faded away after the restart!
For someone who cares less and less about football as each season passes, fantasy football is a good way to keep an eye on what's going on.

Re: Fantasy Football 2019/20
Yep, there will be a code, when I get a mo to set everything up again. I'll start a new 2020/21 thread and post the details there in the coming days.
Anyone who was in the league previously should automatically be included in the new one anyway.
That's exactly how it is for me too. If it wasn't for fantasy football I would hardly pay any attention to the Premier League.sproughton wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 7:21 am For someone who cares less and less about football as each season passes, fantasy football is a good way to keep an eye on what's going on.

Thanks for arranging Welshlad, I do enjoy the fantasy part of the football, if not the football itself
