Re: The Monkey
I hope you enjoy the new bike. Sounds like summer fun approaches.
Do you think you will end up doing shorter journeys on the Monkey than the Forza?

Re: The Monkey

For sure. Although the seat on the Monkey is like a marshmallow.

Don't rub it in. Don't forget the clutch is where my back brake has always been and my left foot just sat on the running board.
I only discovered the back brake my accident today.

I'm not even sure what 'one of these' is.
I managed a 50 miler today and am getting better at gear changing. A couple of times though I was between neutral and first and the revs went up a bit.

Re: The Monkey
It's a "quick-shifter". Basically, it allows you to change gear without using the clutch. Also on upshifts there is no requirement to close the throttle.

The Honda Super Cub has foot gears but no clutch so guess that's similar.
kiter
That is the problem. I'm getting old remember. Well if I could remember anyway.

Re: The Monkey
That is just fabulous Scooter. While I don't ride, I have been intrigued by the Honda Grom since its debut. The Monkey looks to be an even better looking "retro-brother" to the Grom, and I'm sure is just as much fun to ride. I'm a little jealous to be honest.

Re: The Monkey
That's exactly the case with the Monkey Lavaine.
The Monkey shares much of the Grom technology, probably appealing more to the older generation because of the look.
Two great fun bikes.
I can honestly say that I am enjoying riding the Monkey more than any scooter I have owned.
All the neighbours have been round to check it out and one has already given it a go. Luckily he came back, grinning ear to ear.

Ha ha. Having “run” it in nicely for you no doubt! Are there any speed cameras out your way?
