Renault late with their car, so launching their season with a press session with drivers and some photos/renders of parts of the car...

I like that as an innovation. Reminds me of the fduct - one of those ideas someone turns up to a meeting with, and everyone says yeah, why not, let's give it a go!

I also think Mercedes are appreciating DAS taking people's attention away from their trick rear suspension and it's huge rear downforce benefits...

Unlikely someone will copy it because of the development time and there's no benefit next year.

Not strictly motorsport but I quite like spotting what watches the racers/managers/commentators are wearing away from the sponsorship... Just watched Netflix 'Formula 1 Drive to Survive' and it looks like Christian Horner is wearing an Autavia 02 when at home in Oxfordshire (S1: E3 "Redemption" at 02:07).. could be wrong! What other personal as opposed to sponsorship watches has anyone spotted on the wrist of F1ers?

I know testing results need to be taken with a pinch of salt due to all the unknown variables including fuel load, however if the DAS gives any sort of benefit then it is looking ominous for the other teams and makes LH a very strong favourite for WDC #7 imho.

FIA (Ferrari International Assistance) reaches settlement with Ferrari over its 2019 engine...

If you've done nothing wrong, why would you need to reach a settlement.

Im glad Esteban Ocon has a seat with Renault this year, will be even better if he fulfills some of his potential.

His story isnt a million miles different from Lewis; family sacrifices to help him as a youth, total dedication in the early years, no billionaire parents/sponsor to 'buy' him a seat (maybe different now).

Great series, sat here watching S2:E9 now.. I like the observation 'racing drivers have an inner b#@tard' one that is borne out by the series and in watching a lot of racing over the years (and a little amateur participation).
Shame there's not more episodes in the series!

Qatar Moto GP cancelled due to Coronavirus - I can see other races joining China on the tbc F1 calendar.

If the Australia races goes ahead, I can see issues with some personnel from Italy and Japan gaining entry. Give it a week and it could be most of Europe.

Yep, think its looking ominous.. travel restrictions as much as any local presence of the virus being the biggest challenge. As well as the obvious health issues, the financial impact of this globally is starting to be very significant.
