Cracking race BUT will F1 shoot themselves in the foot (again).

Drivers should be allowed to RACE.

Had there been a wall on the outside of the corner and Leclerc had been pushed into it, would you still say 'let them race'?

Will be interesting to see what happens.

Appreciate your comments Phil and you're not wrong.

Thing is, there was no wall so it removes a lot of jepody from the situation.

That said, I don't yet know the details of the stewards judgment but;-

I wonder what the Stewards of an F1 race would make of this duel;-

The pedant in me wants to say that was an F1 race :D

And what a superb race, I miss that era of F1, and that era of Kubica. The rule book has grown a lot since then.

Great race! Enjoyed that.
Absolutely the correct decision and well done Verstappen. He can be a very clumsy driver and a bit reckless at times but that was a superb drive from him.
I’m hoping Hamilton can bounce back at the next race.

Charles Leclerc? He was overtaken on the inside. Legitimate move. Suck it up Charles.

"No, that can't be allowed.... " Big balls in both cars. All that rain would impair the aero of today's cars!

Being a pedant, the aero would still work the same ... the tyres on the other hand would fall out of their tiny heat window and be useless :D

I reckon Newey's all conquering RB6, with the trick blown diffuser before the engine mapping was hindered, generated more downforce than these hybrid era cars... but the sheer power in qualy spec of engine + electric power of modern F1 flatters the lap time.

I could nerd all day on F1 tech

Rich Energy have pulled the plug on Haas sighting their poor performances, being behind a Williams.
Nothing to do with their court case then.
Why do they remind me of Trotters Independent Trading .

Absolutely no love for Rich Energy on twitter last night, but I did have a wry chuckle at this tweet from Ofitus_21;-

Other important, but perhaps not unexpected news, is Silverstone keeps the British Grand Prix for the next five years. Image

Latest news is that there is a split in the investors in Rich Energy, most don't want to split from Haas F1. They are trying to stop the frontman for the company making a unilateral decision on the sponsorship deal.

Regardless of the internal squabbles at Rich, I would expect Haas to have had a contract that can't be broken that easily, I can see this ending up in court. As if Rich Energy don't have enough legal problems!
