Fascinating article on the dynamics race that goes on (if you like that sort of thing) - and an interesting conclusion:

Just on Google Maps for something and I was curious to see what Albert Park looks like when it's a park and not a GP circuit. Unrecognisable!

What-time-is-it, amazing difference! I was only looking at. Crystal Palace the other day but the other way round. Was once a GP/race circuit, many years ago and then reverted to park... I walked around it and was amazed that the 'paths' were ever a serious circuit.

No more Ted's Notebook according to one of SKY's twitter accounts, although as previously mentioned he has his own show on a Wednesday evening.
Crofty tweeted about viewing figures on his return yesterday - most of the comments are about #wheresTed! https://twitter.com/CroftyF1
A loss to the coverage I'm afraid.

Yup, all set for this on Sunday evening.what-time-is-it wrote:IndyCar at COTA on Sunday - hopeful of a good race and looks like the layout is the same as F1.
Indycar did some testing here a few weeks back and were using the same full circuit as the F1 Grand Prix.
Only circuit that currently both Indycar and F1 use.
There is also FormulaE from China on Saturday morning (UK time).

News from Motorsport.com
"The next 10 days are going to be huge for Mick Schumacher. Not only does he graduate, as reigning European F3 champion, to the FIA Formula 2 series this weekend in Bahrain, he is set for his first official F1 running in the test for young drivers that comes afterwards.
And what a way to make your official F1 debut – with Ferrari. His father Michael’s legacy with the Scuderia will last forever, but now a new Schumacher has the chance to make his name there too next Tuesday.
Mick has taken everything in his stride so far, and with more F1 running planned on Wednesday with Sauber, let’s enjoy seeing this second-generation Schumacher show us what he’s got."

Re: F1 2019 Motorsport Thread
Well Leclerc doesn't really look like a #2 driver after that pole position in Bahrain. Maybe Ferrari will need to re-think the team orders they clearly employed in Australia. Giving Vettel preference over Leclerc may not be the best strategy.

Re: F1 2019 Motorsport Thread
Agree, I hope he's going to have a good run at WDC, leaving Vettel in his dust!
Mick had an ok race in F2, making a last lap overtake to grab reverse grid pole for tomorrow's race. Should be worth a watch.

What a cracking race! Such a shame for Charles but he'll bounce back. He'll hopefully be the clear #1 at Ferrari going forward, having been the faster driver in both races this season, and given Seb's continued penchant for unforced errors.

Re: F1 2019 Motorsport Thread
I suspect it is maybe a bit early for Ferrari to come to that conclusion, another race or two with a similar outcome and you would have to think they would have to put them on an even footing if not make Leclerc #1. Not sure how well Vettel would take that though!

Re: F1 2019 Motorsport Thread
Leclerc did a fine job and although he was unlucky, he still finished on the podium. A 5th, 3rd and pole in your first two races for Ferrari is an excellent start and I'm sure it's giving Vettel plenty to think about.
I don't know the stats, but the Red Bulls seemed to be struggling with top speed compared with Australia which if I'm right could be an issue in China and Azerbaijan due to the long straights.
Great to see Lando Norris finish 6th and Sainz also seemed to have some speed, hopefully this isn't a one off.
Williams will struggle to score any points this season, which is a shame for Russell and Kubica.
