That's OK, I thought that was the case.

To be fair they emphasise that it's compulsory basic training and not a test.

In 7 occasions I have only known one person fail and that was because he was forever stalling. The Instructor decided after a lot of individual training that the chap was not safe to go out on the 2 hour ride. I'm guessing that he would have been called back for additional help on another day.

From my own perspective I enjoy going back every 2 years and look upon it as a refresher course. I am very happy on a 125cc bike/scooter and have no wish to carry a pillion passenger.

The L plates are not a problem to me. If anything drivers give me a wide berth when they see the plates little realising that I can call upon experience from a 50 year driving career of about 700,000 miles and a riding career of about 40000 miles.

Hi Scooter, I should read more carefully and think before i write! 😁
Fully understand the 125 bit, if you have nice rides locally and no pillion etc. Why have more.. If I lived in the right area and had the time, its probably a route I would go, Im a sucker for the retro style of the Mash, Mutt etc oh and the Caballero Flat Track 125.

I've checked out the bikes you mentioned and they're all pretty cool.

I'm currently awaiting to be called in to Fowlers of Bristol to check out the soon to arrive Horwin CR6 125 electric motorcycle.

After 4 km stopped for a smoke

It’s an old bike. Only 7 gears out of 21(?) (3 x 7) were working. After my adjustment I have now 4 working gears, perfect! :/

Almost done with a smoke. Avanti!!
