That is both beautiful and nostalgic. Looks like a really neat bike. I like that it’s stripped down to components and frame, without extra BS. The colors are cool, too.

Thanks. Although it was only November, I must admit those Autumn colours and sense of freedom seem a long time ago.

Took a drive out to a local county park on the site of a former limestone quarry and quicklime production facility. The quarry is now flooded and only a few of the kilns from the late 1800s remain. The whole are is now surrounded by subdivisions, so it’s nice this fascinating bit of the county’s history has been preserved.

Two especially interesting facts we learned:
In WWII German POWs were bussed out to the site to work the kilns. And the surrounding area used be be a watercress farm because watercress grows best in heavily lime waters.

Been a while since I've been able to post in this thread but a lovely day and a couple of hundred miles on a bike this morning. This bike is not the last word in refinement but I enjoyed it anyway...
