Roadtrip

Post by blowfish89 » Sun Jul 01, 2018 11:25 pm

Really bad day to visit Salt Lake City today as almost everything was closed as it’s Sunday, and hardly any coffee or alcohol anywhere.

Met a retired teacher and his wife from Gilford in Surrey, England who were probably wandering the city and dying to find some coffee (I found them a local coffee shop a little away with Yelp). The man told me he is from northern England (and hence the northern accent, as if I would be able to tell), and was **** that his children would only stay in London as the jobs and pay were all there and he and his wife had to move south to be close to the grand kids. Then he asked me where I live, and he didn’t say anything much after I told him I also live away in the big city of Los Angeles as it had a lot of jobs.

Spotted this gold Vacheron tilted watch on a man lunching next to me at Cheesecake Factory. It looked really unique.

Taking the scenic mountain route to Wyoming now via Bear Lake.

This happened today - don’t know what kind of bear - but it’s brown not black so a brown bear or a grizzly maybe.

Guildford is a nice town. Home to a decent university and a great (and globally recognised for their success on YouTube) music shop, Andertons.

Fantastic timing with the bear!
