Re: Guess where this is thread....
It was a pure “educated” guess, based on his love of doing Shakespeare. My parents once got tickets for one of the Bard’s plays there, whilst on hols. They were so looking forward to it. They left at the interval, saying that they didn’t understand a word!!!

My other half loved it which is what counts.
My gut feeling that it wouldn't be my cup of tea was 100% correct. A small price to pay to stay in the good books.

Close Neil. You can actually see the Forth Road Bridge in the background of the first photo. It's the Queensferry Crossing (although in reality it's effectively the "new" Forth Road Bridge, only public transport and emergency vehicles now allowed on the original one).

Re: Guess where this is thread....
^^^^ Patrick I used my powers of deduction to (almost) get the correct answer:
- it looked a bit familiar (I used to fly to Edinburgh on a regular basis a few years ago)
- pic posted by chap who lives in Edinburgh!
The rest was easy(ish)!

Re: Guess where this is thread....
^^^yes, I wasn't expecting it to be a particularly tough ask, just posted it as we took a couple of shots of the rainbow when crossing the bridge at the weekend
You do get a great view of the Firth of Forth and 3 bridges when coming in to land at Edinburgh.

^^^^Spot on Guy! It would have been more of a gimme, if I hadn’t cropped the pic to exclude a rather recognisable mountain range.

Re: Guess where this is thread....
That is the Skye bridge, very controversial when it was opened and for some time afterwards until the original toll charges scrapped, at which time they were about £11
