Thread Resurrection Alert
It is somewhat over two years ago since this thread was started, at a time when our long standing Forum Member, Kevin_b1, was under Hospice Care for the final days of his life in
Garden House Hospice. Since Kevin's bereavement I have kept in touch with his wife and family and Jan, his wife, works these days as a volunteer for Garden House Hospice helping organise their eBay shop.
We are clearly now, with Covid-19, in very different, strange and uncertain times, which have affected us all in many different ways, not least of which is the ability of Charities to continue their normal fundraising activities.
Whilst the UK Government has pledged funding and support Charities, including Garden House Hospice, have got a significant shortfall to make up (Garden House estimate this at £600,000 for this year).
Not surprisingly Garden House Hospice has raised an
Urgent Coronavirus Appeal to raise funds to meet this shortfall. Donations are accepted from anywhere worldwide.
I fully appreciate that a number of forum members must find themselves in difficult circumstances, perhaps being furloughed workers or owners of small businesses with little income and uncertain futures. Additionally, we have all, I'm sure, got a Charity or two that have a special meaning to us and whom we support.
Nevertheless, may I ask that you
give what you are able to, in memory of Kevin Bucknell.
