Picture of the Super Blood Wolf Moon from last night. My telezoom lens only goes up to 210mm at an aperture of F6.3 so not the greatest for capturing a tiny, dim and far away object in the black sky. But still turned out pretty decent.

It was -13F / -25C last night so also not the most comfortable environment to test out many different settings.

Thanks greyman and vlognier!

Here is one a bit more cropped, sharpened and enhanced contrast. Can't go much further without starting to show to much grain and noise. Really lucky with the clear sky because it usually is cloudy here in winter all the time.

^^^ nice contrast with the sky.

Another super moon this week. And a clear sky again which is unusual for Michigan in winter.

Took this a few days ago. Technically a fairly poor iPhone pic, but as I had never previously seen a Sun halo, I thought I would post the pic.

Looking at the Sun to try and get the entire halo in the shot wasn’t really an option! So I just lined it up and raised the angle of the phone, until I thought the halo would be in the pic.

Whilst it doesn’t show that clearly in the pic, the halo was like a rainbow completely encircling the Sun.

Fabulous photo Neil.

Not able to do a halo this morning, hopefully moody clouds with semi-golden barley will suffice.
