A gin & tonic made with Monkey 47 gin, my new favorite, while enjoying some music on the deck on this wonderful evening.

Well I do like a Monkey 47 Andrew.

Even though if you drink it outside of your house it’s punishingly expensive.

IIRC £17 for a double in a decent restaurant in London.

May well be £20 by the time I venture back to London for a meal/drink.

Monkey 47 has blown me away! I bought it for my dad on the recommendation of the guy at the liquor store and was suspicious of a German gin. Come on now, German? It’s my new favorite, bumping Hendricks from the top spot.

I have yet to encounter it out in the wild.

Started this evening with a Negroni.

Then switched to Campari soda, with a splash of Martini.

I can’t figure out if I don’t like a Negroni or if I simply make a BAD Negroni. I need to order one at a bar, made by a professional, so I can set the record straight.

...and tell me about that gin. I just started a thread looking for gin recommendations.

I had two very nice IPA’s at a local brewery and have switched to alternating Truly and this excellent N/A IPA.
