I do love a creamy Mâconnais Burgundy, and this from Lidl is a cracker, alongside a bake-off chocolate Babka.

After seeing a story on applejack, a favorite liquor of colonial America, I bought a bottle distilled by a family distiller holding license #1 from the US treasury! It’s been in the same family since the 1790s.

This is a Jack Rose. Applejack, lime juice, and grenadine in a 2:1:½ ratio, shaken over ice then poured into a chilled glass.

It’s delicious!
