Nobody does disapproval like a cat, and nobody does optimism like a dog. Love them all :D The whole crew are rescues.

Bravo! We have rescues and have never regretted it for a moment.

Particularly at this time of the year it is important to remind people how wonderful rescue animals can be, so well done!

I’ll echo this Nick. I have 2 rescue dogs and 2 rescue cats and also help out at a small dog rescue. Please don’t go to a breeder if you are looking for a dog/cat; there are so many fantastic pets waiting for that chance of a good life.

It really is such an indictment on the human race that so many wonderful animals need homes. It's us that do it to them.

Currently, we too, have two rescue cats and two rescue dogs and while sometimes they're not easy they are always incredibly rewarding. As complete suckers, we'll probably end up with more eg I feel a tomcat imminent. Nothing to do, he'll find us and he'll be welcome.

This was our previous, much loved and missed (rescue) Shepherd with her (both rescue) cats. At one point we had four rescue cats but time takes its toll. We miss them all, excepting Matron Millie (the tortoiseshell) who is still with us at a sprightly 18, now busy training our two new Shepherds. Loyal and dignified all - we can learn a great deal if we open our minds.
