Nothing so grand for me.....

A Renault Clio GT, now minus the lairy green stickers and dice valve caps from the previous owner.

It was cheap and is a lot of fun to drive. However, having done less than 1k miles, since buying it in January, only confirms my choice not to go for a better car. Plus it sits under a blossom tree which continually drips sap on the roof. (The joys of allocated parking spaces)

Fancied a change.
Outgoing on the left, new addition on the right.
Goodbye my friend, you’ve been fantastic. You were a long standing grail and I’ve loved every mile.

Hello to my new motor. You have all your predecessor’s good bits and you’ve added a few additional niceties. You have a lot to live up to but I suspect that you’re not going to disappoint. :D

No Patrick, it’s an X1 xDrive20D
It’s more of a crossover than an SUV, or SAV (sport activity vehicle) as BMW call it. It’s tall but not too tall.

Providing you team up with winter tyres.

Enjoy the X1 Steve.

One thing I'm sure you will notice is the better view from the slightly higher driving position, as I do in my Yeti.

Yes, tyres will be key. Definitely higher. No more “falling” into the driver’s seat.
