Thanks, I’ve had it since new - 2003. Only once felt it was a bit loose on a corner, but I don’t drive it a lot, and, knowing its reputation, and having spun a Civic ESi one time, I do take special care. Honda build quality is legendary, and this engine is a beauty.Thegreyman wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 8:41 pmCracking car. I had a few MX5's and did think more than once about getting an S2000 as I also owned 3 Hondas so liked the brand. Their reputation as being a little tail happy on occasion possibly put me off. Great looking and rare car though with a lovely 250 bhp 2 litre VTEC

Re: What Car do you drive??
Thanks, just got it back from the garage - was in for a service and MOT - the only work it needed was a new front number plate, and that’s only because it wasn’t a Honda part! The mechanic was drooling - there aren’t many of these about. It’s a pleasure to drive, and has plenty of torque even when when cruising at 70 in 6th.Mikkei4 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 8:58 pmThese are fantastic cars. When new they were much cheaper to buy and run than a Boxster. I test drove a demo one in metallic black a short time before they stopped selling them and it felt like driving a civilised road going racing car with its tiny short throw gear stick perfectly placed. Stupidly I didn't buy it as I had trouble getting all my golf gear into the boot
The VTEC engine is 1 of the most reliable ever - Honda have never had 1 fail and would only let them be put together in Japan in order to retain the reliability. It revs a little different to the 2litre VTEC in the same era Type R which was what I had but still goes really well.

My 1300 Mk3 Cortina, it’s not my daily drive but it certainly gets used. 0-60 in 20 seconds (with the wind behind me) and a cruising speed of 65!

Re: What Car do you drive??
Lovely. My dad had a 1972 “K” reg. It was a lime green met with black vinyl roof. A 2000 GXL auto. I used to spend ages starring at it from the kitchen window. It was the first car I really loved. Dad acquired it in 1975 and had to have it re-sprayed in 1977 as it was so rusty! He got rid in 1978 as it was costing too much in repairs. It had fabulous clocks on the centre consul that were angled to the driver if I recall?pancakedan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 25, 2019 9:54 pm My 1300 Mk3 Cortina, it’s not my daily drive but it certainly gets used. 0-60 in 20 seconds (with the wind behind me) and a cruising speed of 65!

Unfortunately most of them succumb to rust, just over 1.2 million were made and only about 1000 are left today and probably about half of that actually on the road. The sloping dash was very cool, mines a face lift car (73-76) and has the straight dash, more practical but has less of the cool factor.Thermexman wrote:Lovely. My dad had a 1972 “K” reg. Re: What Car do you drive??
Had mine cleaned today as looking to move it on, test drove a 65 plate Golf GTD earlier as well. Loved the car and wanted to buy but VW dealer wasn't interested in any movement on the price at all once I turned down all the extra warranty guff that added over £1k and that I don't want it on finance. Such a Shane but had to walk away.

1994 Chevrolet Silverado, all original aside from maintenance items. The odometer currently reads a shade over 324,000 miles (521,000 Kilometers)

Guys I'm gonna go all crazy @#$ americana on ya. Not my daily drivers but both have a special spot in the stable.
Time and money? I’ve spent most of mine on booze and women. The rest I just wasted…
