I love that color combo! My dad had an MX-5 with the tan leather interior - very elegant and beautiful.

I miss my ‘03 MX-5 ... was still going strong after 140k miles. Sold it to pay for tires on my next car...

This brought back a memory I recorded in 2017...

An NSX, wow what a cracker. I lusted after an original NSX back in the 90s. I've had a few Hondas in the family - CRV, Accord and Jazz - all quite boring by comparison.

All this talk of MX-5's is making me reminisce about the ones I have had. These were my two

I was always a fan of the original NSX. And the MX-5 NB will always be the best MX-5 in my book!

How do you get the same registration for two cars?

That’s pretty obviously a private plate, so he would have paid the £80 fee to DVLA to transfer it onto his new car. The photo is obviously taken at the dealership, so both cars are technically off the public highway. The dealer would have had the plates made up and put them on the new car ready to drive away. The car he was trading in would then be assigned a different number and would have to have a temporary plate with a red border, called a trade plate. Once the handover was completed it wouldn’t be allowed on the road with scooter’s private number on it.

I think that’s right, anyway.

I’ll be honest, I don’t quite understand all of that!

Here’s a shot of my custom license plates. Virginia has made quite a lot of money off of me, as I’ve paid for vanity plates for going on 20 years now! As a history teacher, HSTRY GK suits me quite well. And the plate on the MX-5 captures perfectly the car and where I am in my life at this point.
