New adding images functionality

Post by neilj568 »

The new method for adding images is excellent and much slicker than the imgur method but I noticed the portrait orientated images e.g. wrist shots are uploaded in a landscape orientation and I can't see any setting to prevent this. I rotated an image (via my Android phone) but this version failed to upload.

Noted, Neil. It may be that someone is already looking into it, but we will raise it.

Curiouser and curiouser.......I'll try via a PC tomorrow.

Viewing on my tablet now and the portrait image appears as portrait in the message as I'd expect.

Yep, I assumed you’d sorted it out by the time I commented, as I’m using Tapatalk and it looked just fine.. :)

This is excellent news, hosting photos on site is the way to go. I assume storage is no issue?

One thought though. Do I now repost the photos hosted elsewhere? I have to say I don't like them being in the "cloud" which I have zero trust for and I say that after a working life in IT and telecoms. I would like to close my Imgur account

If it’s as easy as it seems and I don’t have to register with Imgur etc, I could finally start posting pics myself.
