C60 Elite 1000 GMT
Oops.
Look what's just arrived (well, collected it from the Village Post Office this morning as I got Red Carded yesterday for not being in when the Postie called).
For only the second time ever, watch is genuinely Nearly New (usually nothing to suggest and to all intent brand new).
Bracelet has got a few minor/tiny marks on it to suggest it has been worn. No wrap on it.
Watch is fine. Maybe the feintist of marks on the caseback.
One possible issue is GMT hand seems to be out / not aligned 100%. However, I had this on my C8 UTC Worldtimer and having set the GMT hand and let it run for 24 hours, it self-corrected and lined up perfectly thereafter.
Now had it running for an hour and a half, and the GMT hand has sorted itself out.
Just need to take one link out of the bracelet and get it on my wrist.

Bracelet is a safe option. Thought I'd switch up to a white Hirsch Tiger strap.
I then thought it would be good to do a comparative experiment in aesthetics and visual appearance.
Which is the larger watch?

Re: C60 Elite 1000 GMT
It’s an interesting experiment, because the eye tends to be drawn to the dial on the Apex, simply because it is such an interesting feature. Now, of course, the GMT has that Inner ring with the 24 hour dial on it, which reduces the objective size of the black dial itself. ( I had my suspicions, but I had to look them up, unfortunately I was right in all three dimensions!)Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 5:50 pm

Re: C60 Elite 1000 GMT
Congratulations on getting this one Guy !
It is a great looking watch and is very 'Guy' if that makes sense.
The comparison with your Apex is very interesting as Steve said, to me the one that 'looks' bigger is the Apex as the actual dial is bigger.
Enjoy it my friend.

Re: C60 Elite 1000 GMT
That's a cracker, Guy. I really like this model and the smaller dial makes it wear more compact too. It's too close to my Ombre for me to seriously consider it, plus I'm waiting for the black C60 Chrono pictured in the last edition of Loupe to be released, but that doesn't stop me cooing over it!

Switched up to the bracelet. So much better for hot weather.

Beautiful watch, Guy. A very daring move - putting on the white strap. (Not sure I could personally pull it off)!

C60 Elite 1000 GMT
Mine arrived yesterday, resized the bracelet and I’m wearing it today. Really nice, liking it a lot.
I went for the black over the blue for two reasons... I already own a 40mm C60 GMT in blue and the watch that I most closely associate the Elite with (for some reason) is the Tudor Pelagos. Ok, the Pelagos is not a GMT, but the similarities between the two are too great to ignore, at least in my mind. Anyway, I have a blue Pelagos, so it made sense to with the black Elite. Two very different shades of blue too...

Re: C60 Elite 1000 GMT
It’s interesting, the 42mm Pelagos looks and wears the biggest. I don’t think I’d own one in stainless, the titanium is a godsend. The 42mm Elite looks the smallest of the three (but not so in isolation) and wears about the same as the 40mm steel GMT Trident. A bit bigger, a bit lighter... evens out.

Re: C60 Elite 1000 GMT
I love the lack of weight and "heft" of this watch. I own an Orient Pro Saturation Diver which is a pretty large watch. What keeps me from wearing it often and on bracelet most of the time is how it just rolls around on the wrist due to its weight.
This watch doesn't even feel like it's sitting on my wrist.
