News Flash!
Those that have maligned the CWL bracelets will be happy to know that their voices have been heard.
I can't tell you any more than this at this time... but new bracelets are/will be developed and are planned to be introduced in the Autumn of 2011.
A bracelet for the C9(90) is also planned for that time.

It will be interesting to see what turns up but we will have to wait a whole year.

Re: News Flash!
I think its also worth mentioning that CW has probably just gained an additional order for a Trident GMT with this info (Well for next Autumn anyway!).
I was holding off because of the "same bracelet" argument I am sure we are all familiar with

Re: News Flash!
Autumn 2011?!
CW's bracelets aren't designed, built and delivered by BAE Systems are they? Lets hope they don't end up over budget, and late...
It will be interesting to see them, though to be honest I don't think there is a lot wrong with the current ones, I always seemed to be able to get a good fit.
They are looking a little 'familiar' now though.

Ideal number of watches in your collection = current number of watches + 1...
Re: News Flash!
That's pretty much how I feel; The existing bracelet works for me, but it is probably time for a refreshed design. A one year time-to-market does seem excessive for a watch bracelet.Tooks wrote:It will be interesting to see them, though to be honest I don't think there is a lot wrong with the current ones, I always seemed to be able to get a good fit.

Re: News Flash!
Well thats good news, I hope CW will offer a choise on future bracelets.
Fold over clasp for real divers.
Butterfly clasps for desk divers.
Ratchet clasps for gadget freeks.
Maybe all types could be included with the watch.

No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).

Re: News Flash!
whilst we're about it, has anyone tried fitting a diver's clasp to the current C6 Bracelet?
If so, where do I get one that fits? Please!!!!!!!!!

Re: News Flash!
Although I myself have had no issues with the bracelets, I do see plenty of room for improvement.
A foldover clasp with micro adjustments or a ratchet type clasp would be great attached to a solid linK bracelet with half links and screws.
I would also eliminate the 2 very narrow polished strips and have either an all brushed, all polished or depending on design a much wider row of polished/brushed links to make it far easier to repolish/brush up the bracelet to new condition. Taping up the current bracelet to refinish is a real bear.

Re: News Flash!
Thank god for that but geeez thats nearly a year to wait. Oh well time flies I guess but I myself will not be buying another CWL until they go.
A true story here. My boss was talking about watches just the other week. He likes them himself and has a Breitling Bentley and a Speedy Pro etc. He knows I also like my watches and mentioned he quite liked some of my CWL's but he would never buy one because of the butterfly clasp. He cant stand them either and he made that comment with no input from myself or knowledge of my own hatred for them. Go figure folks. A true story and confirmed to me they were a poor decision in the first place and cost CWL repeat sales. I guess I have one thing to thank Chris for though. I never owned a watch with a butterfly clasp until I bought a CWL so I guess I have him to thank for giving me the insight to never again buy a watch that uses it.
Thanks for the heads up Kip.
