The Moonphase stands out due to the excellent large Moonphase complication and is a fantastically beautiful watch in blue or white. (Paw3001)
I've currently got the blue on my wrist (first one in the wild!) and it's stunning. (eggtronics)
The white is stunning! {bobbubka)
Two thumbs up (Aifo)
Very tasteful and elegant. (welshlad)
I'm not a big fan of moonphases but that is a smashing piece in both colors...Job extremely well done! (panamavin)
A great watch. (scooter)
Oh, bloody hell! That is amazing! The C1 is no longer CW's most beautiful watch! (by Amor Vincit Omnia)
I love that the moonphase moves continuously. (Wis)
The price point is marvelous too. I thought it would be much more. (Magnus)

"......we are proud to introduce the first ever Christopher Ward moonphase watch, created by our own master watchmaker, Johannes Jahnke.

With his Calibre JJ04, Johannes modified the base ETA 2836-2 by creating two gear systems incorporating four wheels to drive the moon disc, and a further two wheels for the setting mechanism. The result is a smooth and continuous movement of the moon disc, in synch with the minutes and hours - the norm for moonphase watches is that the disc jumps once a day leaving the moon inaccurate for several hours each day. Once set, the representation of the moon's phase at any particular moment is unerringly precise. Additionally, the new gearing means that the moon disc is also accurate to within one day every 128 years of the base movement's accuracy.

The complication most requested by our followers since CW was founded in 2004, in the C9 Moonphase we have created a timepiece that fulfils ours and our customers' common desire, but also one that, hopefully, does credit to the source of its inspiration, our waxing, waning, wondrous moon."

The C9 Moonphase is an open series and may be ordered directly from Christopher Ward London.

Congrats Mr. C9 Moonphase. I voted for you and you deserve it.

Perhaps in a year or so I will buy one of these, NN and discounted of course! :silent:

So did I. Now please don't go and make me break my New Year's Resolution!

The half minute which we daily devote to the winding-up of our watches is an exertion of labour almost insensible; yet, by the aid of a few wheels, its effect is spread over the whole twenty-four hours.

Well, I will be honest and admit that a moon phase watch hold no particular interest for me, but I will accept that as a piece of design sculpture, these do look very elegant indeed.

Like the new Trident Chrono, this is one of those watches which is not really my thing but nevertheless I can't help appreciating how well it's been done. Absolutely stunning, and (like all CWs) exceptional value for money.
C8 Flyer 38mm (steel/tan leather strap)
C5 Malvern (gold/black leather strap)
C60 Trident 38mm (green bezel/NATO strap)
Steinhart Nav B-Uhr 44mm Type B (steel/black leather riveted strap)
Rotary pocket watch (gold plated, handwound)
G-Shock GW5610

Something unnecessary executed with both style and precision. Also known as luxury.

I must admit I am not surprised, it looks great in night time blue or daylight white

The white dial piece is growing on me, i hope it will not derail me from the Jumping hand which I'm so into it now.
