Yup, a personal code so they can be tracked!

Mine has shipped and I am expecting it to arrive tomorrow number #167 (number has special significance).

I don't think they are being shipped in serial number order but when your order was placed. My order was place back in early August

CWL has not been recieving the watches in order. The serial numbers have been arriving in a random order so as soon as Wera finds one on reserve she sends it. It is somewhat a luck of the draw.

For those C8 customers who, like me, were wondering why their watch was loitering in packing and testing, the following info e-mailed to me from Wera late yesterday might help:

'Yes, we're working hard........Chris still in the office checking watches....with the C8 pilot watches each and every one of them needs to be checked as they are automatic....on the timing machine, and regulated etc etc....so not a quick easy job'

So stay calm, people!

It's here and on my wrist C8 SKT #20.

The size is great, not too big, although my everyday watch is a 50mm Suunto. As Rob said before the straps are longish, mine's on the next to last hole.

Worth the wait, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Sorry no pics, I'm at work and my camera on my phone is rubbish.

C8SKK now on my wrist. New to the forum but not new to CW; I also have a C5 LE. It's a long strap all right, perfect for getting over the pilot suit.... ahem.

The display is amazing. The triangle and 2 dots look almost 3D/raised. I'm a little surprised at how the second hand dominates, the hour hand looking almost as if it's dedicated to the inner 12-24 dial. Looking forward to night time as it looks like it should attract mosquitoes.

Ok, I admit I just stood in the dark in the cupboard under the stairs  . Awesome (and I'm not American). No problems reading this at night and a lovely blue hue too.

Very nice indeed. I'm sure it will get favourable comments from those that notice it.

Enjoy.

Mine came today to #9,Exactly the same as the one Village has.
No screw down crown as stated but i can easily live with that.
The only thing i,m a little surprised about is the deployment clasp has a polished finish whereas the strap rivets and the watch case are i think bead blasted matt but i can live with that to.
Overall,a brilliant!!!! (Notice the lack of the word Awesome) watch a credit to Chris and Wera. I,d like to thank him for producing such a stunning watch.
Well worth the wait.

Anybody else not liking the strap? It's far too long and the shiny clasp is not in keeping with the rest of the watch. There are some excellent new pictures in the gallery on the website. The IPK even has a shiny clasp!

As far as I know, most pilots should come with an over long strap as they were originally made to be worn over big bulky flying jackets. Also the pilot watches I have seen and currently own do not have a screw down crown.

Finally, I am worried about the deployment as it should match the case. Otherwise it looks very out of place. If this is the case with mine I will be asking Chris to replace with a matching clasp. I don't expect flagship models to be mismatched!

The clasp looks fine on a C7 because the case is also highly polished but on the C8 it's just sooo wrong.
