Get the gold. Fashion lasts for a shorter period of time than a fine timepiece.

I think wearing a gold coloured watch that is not made from gold is a bit pretentious. I've got a gold plated Raymond Weil Saxo, which was about £400 but it looks cheap. I never wear it now, I don't really know why I bought it. Impulse I suppose.

But each to his own.

It is made from gold. It's just not solid gold.

It's not made from gold, it's made from steel, then plated with gold. There's a huge difference !

Absolutely. For me, that would be steel as opposed to gold. That's my opinion, and fashion concerns me not a whit.

It would be nice to wear a watch thats fashionable don't you think ?
Just yesterday received my C3GWG. My 4th CW watch... 2 gold, 2 steel... IMO gold never goes out of style. A CW watch does not look cheap and as always looks better than the web site. Take the shot if you really like it. You only have to please yourself. Try it for 60 days, if you change your mind, exchange it. CW says this is OK. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised when you see the watch, no matter what you decide.

Myself I think it depend on what colour face I'm going to have.I prefer steel overall but think gold looks good with a light coloured face.
